NaturEner Newsletter - Wild Rose 2 Wind Power Project
Published on January 14, 2010
"When construction begins on this Project the local and regional benefits will include land royalties for landowners, hundreds of construction jobs and local economic impacts due to the need for construction materials, resources and labour. Once the Project is operational, permanent jobs for operations and maintenance of the Project will create even more opportunities. Municipal taxes and landowner royalties will be paid for at least 40 years, as this is the contractual term of the Project agreements. We continue to work closely with the Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) and the regional Economic Development Association (EDA) to maintain strong local business relationships."
