It’s our people who make our growing region what it is.
Our workers are stable, committed and highly skilled. SE Alberta has a youthful, educated population with nearly 43 percent of the population between the ages of 25 and 54. Almost 40% have a post secondary education.
In February 2009 unemployment rates remained stable at 4.7%. This is testimony to a diverse economy and skilled labor. Employers try to retain these valuable employees even in tough economic times.
Our children receive top quality education at all levels and we are centrally located to a number of post-secondary educational facilities including Medicine Hat College, Lethbridge Community College and the University of Lethbridge.
The lifestyle and housing options of rural or urban locations, suits the region, known for low costs of living and healthy earnings.
As part of the Palliser Health Region we have extensive health and medical care throughout all areas. Two local radio stations, newspapers and our own local television station provided us with up-to-date news and information.
